Ashley River Baptist Church, based in the West Ashley area of Charleston, SC, is a local church committed to being used by God to introduce others to Christ and to help believers develop an enriched relationship with Christ. tangerinemoons was granted the opportunity to design a logo for Petros, a newly established men’s ministry.
The cross/sword shape symbolizes God’s love through the sacrifice of His Son, Jesus Christ. Additionally, it also serves as a reminder of Proverbs 27:17 “As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another”. The crimson color was used to symbolize the cleansing blood of Christ; the white for the purity of Christ.
