The CUNY School of Professional Studies, The Financial Clinic and the New York City Department of Homeless Services launched, DHS Financial Independence Now (DHS FIN), a customized training program that equips shelter staff with the tools they need to assist adults, young adults and adult families experiencing homelessness citywide with economic counseling, financial literacy, and effective budgeting.
